Sunderland Connexions Service are based
in the Sunderland Careers Service office in the City Library on Fawcett
Street. The Service offers
a range of careers guidance and support for 13 to 19 year olds to help
make the transition to adult life a smooth one. A Connexions Card offers

industry and commerce. The Connexions Service will help you to make a

Key fund
Aimed at local young people, the Key Fund
provides support to a wide range of people. Projects as diverse as
buying shirts for a local football team to sailing on the James Cook
have been supported. The Key fund is well worth checking out - give
the team a call.

ETEC in The East End offer a full range of Modern Apprenticeships in
Building, Joinery, IT Office Administration and a lot more. |

Catholic Youth Centre
CYC offers NVQs in business administration and computers to 11-25 year
olds and also offers the Connect project for 16-18 year olds that allows
access to City of Sunderland College resources without the need to join
a full time course. |

Commercial Road Youth and Community Project
Offer courses for anyone 16+. Courses are suggested by the local
community and have taken place in Arts and Crafts and First Aid. |

City of Sunderland College
The College has lots of courses for young people and
many learning centres throughout the City. The College has a computer
Learning centre in Hendon Library which also offers courses in
reading, writing and maths. They also have an Outreach Team that can
help local learners find the right course for them (see Links List)
The Tunstall Centre in Grangetown also offers Catering, Horticulture,
Brickwork and Joinery for young people. A range of courses are also
