This page contains a lot of very useful information on life events that affect adults covering everything from the birth of a child to arranging a funeral and almost everything in between including information for young people- a really useful site. Of course we cannot hope to include information on all aspects of your life and we hope you will let us know what you want.

Leaving school and choosing a career is an important time for young people. These sites provide lots of information to help you make a choice about what career you might like.

City of Sunderland College
The College offers lots of courses for adults and young people and many learning centres throughout the City. The College has a computer Learning centre in  Hendon Library which also offers courses in reading, writing and maths. They also have an Outreach Team that can help local learners find the right course for them (see Links List). The Tunstall Centre in Grangetown also offers Catering, Horticulture, Brickwork and Joinery for young people. A range of courses are also offered at Southmoor School.

University of Sunderland
You may think that the University is not for you but the range of flexible, part and full time courses at the University means they can often offer places on many courses without prior qualifications.

The Youth Parliament helps young people aged 11-18 in Sunderland to have their say.
