Safer Estates Task Force
A combination of the police, City Council and many other organisations the Safer Estates Task Force is there to help local residents fight crime. Based in Pennywell Neighbourhood Centre on Swiftden Road and at Havelock Primary School the SETF will deal with a huge variety of problems from crime to problem neighbours.

This is a fairly new web site for the Sunderland West Crime Prevention Panel. It contains information on the Panel's aims as well as useful information on crime prevention.

Ford and Pennywell Advice Centre
Located at the bottom of Hylton Road beside the Post Office the advice centre has legal staff on hand who can help with your problem.


Welfare Rights and benefits
You can get help with welfare and benefits at the Council's Social Services office in Havelock Road or the Welfare Rights Office in Thorndale Road Thorney Close.

If you are working or about to start work you can also get advice locally on the range of benefits you can claim plus help with filling in forms from the In Work Benefits Project based in Pennywell Community Business.
