Forum history and background
The South Forum was set up in 2005 and is a voluntary community group working in the voluntary sector of Sunderland. It is made up of local people, workers and organisations. We are constituted and have an elected Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer. We have acquired funding from City of Sunderland Council.
What we aim to achieve
The aim of the Forum is to encourage and support local people, workers and organisations who have an interest in the future of the South Area and its residents, to work together sharing ideas, information and skills. A coordinated and collective approach will enable communities to access resources to improve the educational, economic, social and leisure opportunities across the South Area communities.
