available throughout the region.

costs - The programme to help you cover the true costs of your
activities
Procurement training and support
- This programme
of support is aimed at Senior Managers in Voluntary and Community
Organisations around the North East, who have identified that the
future of their organisation lies in public sector delivery, but have
yet to secure contracts.

Leadership and Governance training
- This project consists of a flexible programme of training, which
helps the key representatives of a Voluntary or Community organisation
to consider their own Leadership and Governance arrangements, strengthen
the links between their strategic and operational strategies and
plan the future sustainability of their organisation.
Managing Volunteers - This programme of delivery is designed
for those in the voluntary and community sector who are responsible
for the management of individual, or groups of volunteers and ensuring
volunteer involvement in the work of their organisation.

Shop requires volunteers for their Sunderland store. If

NECA (North East Council on Addictions) are looking for
volunteer mentors in the Sunderland and Washington area. If you
are over 18yrs, a good listener, enthusiastic, non-judgemental,
positive and would be interested in offering support and advice
to individuals who need a little extra help with social support,
housing and finances, then you may be just the person they are looking
for. Full training and volunteer benefits are provided.

VICTIM SUPPORT NORTHUMBRIA are looking for Volunteers with
an interest in working with Vulnerable and Intimidated Witnesses,
to give extra support and reassurance on the day or before hand
at court or at home. Witnesses may be adults who are distressed
or suffering from a mental illness, or have a physical or learning
disability. Mainly the role will relate to children under the age
of 17yrs. Experience of working with children could be beneficial
but is not a necessity. Volunteers will need to undertake a basic
training course, one day a week, for 4 weeks, complete an induction
course for 6 months and spend time within Witness Service at Magistrates
and Crown Court to see how the procedures work first hand before
undertaking a home visit unaccompanied. A course is due to start
on 4th November from 9.30am – 4pm at Wallsend. Travel expenses
will be paid.
