Up until recently the club has operated in a small wooden building, as the land has been sold off for redevelopment, the City of Sunderland Council generously allocated new premises in the centre of Hetton in the old library building.

The club is providing a range of sport and leisure activities to different sectors of the community. This includes boxing and fitness coaching, promote healthy living/eating and lifestyles. The programme also engages young people and provides a range of diversionary activities.

  • Mondays and Wednesdays - Boxing Beginners 5.45pm - 6.45pm, Boxing Squad 6.45pm - 8.30pm
  • Thursday - Public session 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Raich Carter Sports Centre, Commercial Road, Hendon
Raich Carter offers free membership for Hendon and East End residents and runs a range of events alongside it's keep fit facilities. Open 10am to 10pm weekdays Fitness Suite - Keep Fit Classes - Football - Swimming Pool.

 

Raich Carter ICT Suite
The TCT suite upstairs in Raich Carter organises courses and drop in sessions in computer music, photography, video, web browsing, email and web page design. 

The ICT Suite is open  Monday 10am-4pm, Tuesday to Friday 10am to 7.30pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm


Hendon Library and Hendon Learning Centre
The learning centre has a drop in Centre where you can learn computing or brush up your reading writing and maths skills. The library organises events like children's story time and also holds lots of information about what's on in the area.
